Príncipe 15 Years

Based in Lisbon, Príncipe has been representing the bold sounds and styles of the city's suburbs, projects and slums since 2011. With a focus on contemporary genres like kuduro and batida, its free-spirited rhythms challenge the strict grid of typical house and techno. In their studio work, DJ Nigga Fox and DJ Firmeza bring their Angolan ancestry into the mix along with other African and diasporic influences. To mark the label's 15th anniversary, the two Príncipe mainstays are taking over Säule tonight.
