Flowgeist

Flowgeist makes its live debut at Kantine am Berghain to celebrate the release of its first album. Conceived by Berlin-based artists Marco Bruno and Velvet May, the project emerges from a collaborative exploration of sound and aesthetics. With a cinematic understanding of electronic music, Flowgeist navigates atmospheres, fractured rhythms, and sculptural sound design. Traces of trip-hop, post-punk, industrial electronics, and breakbeat unfold within an overarching dramaturgy, where rhythm, texture, and voice carry the album’s inner narrative into physical space. The performance marks the record’s first live incarnation, opening its multifaceted studio architecture to the immediacy of the space.

The live experience expands through a series of collaborations. Zainab J Lascandri joins Flowgeist to perform Molecules, a reflection on the interplay between inner and outer worlds, collective anxiety, and the shifting perceptions that shape our reality. 4C curates the live visual effects, transforming original footage by film director Stefano Canavese into an evolving visual narrative that responds to the music in real time. Alex Palmieri presents a hybrid set conceived as a story in motion, weaving together broken beats, ambient textures, field recordings, and shifting rhythms. Pareal joins with a special performance drawing on ancient ritual, Vedic cosmology, and the relationship between human action and universal flow, using body and voice as instruments for an immersive, meditative experience.

Behind Flowgeist:

Marco Bruno is a multidisciplinary storyteller whose releases have appeared on Helena Hauff’s Return to Disorder, James Ruskin’s Blueprint, and Ben Sims’ labels. His work has been presented on stages and platforms such as TEDx and Tresor. He is also the founder of Evighet Records, a platform dedicated to identity, transformation, and sonic evolution. Velvet May is a live performer, singer, and music producer whose practice moves through industrial textures, body-driven tension, and rock with grounded intensity. Combining experimentation with precise sound design, his work is raw, detailed, and sharply controlled. He has released music on labels such as Veyl, Tearson Waves, and She Lost Kontrol.
