While colonialism and Christianity appropriated and erased ancestral traditions, some survived in the resistance of syncretization.
In this coming Dia de Los Muertos, we want to remember our latinx heritage and those who resisted before us.
Less Columbus Day and more remembrance of our identities: we are assembling again a full Latinx line up, from Mexico thru Costa Rica until the Chilean appendix of the continent.
At Coven Transamerican, we are not only proud to celebrate our history and roots through music, we want to bring to the front in European booths the space that our contemporary culture deserves. These rhythms are the heartbeat of our (migrant) history, woven with tales of resilience.
In this second Transamerican edition, we're thrilled to dance to Chilean artist Fernanda Arrau’s captivating synths, to bounce to the sexy grooves brewed in Mexico CIty by Villaseñor, and feel the volcanic taste of Costa Rica with Paul Wolsch.
