REFUGE WORLDWIDE

In her old hometown of Guildford at the age of 16, Heléna Star recorded a daily radio show at a local rave station before relocating to London at 18, finding a new base at the all-women's radio station Foundation FM. Over the past five years, she has built a solid foundation there with her show Breakfast with Heléna Star + Friends, airing every Wednesday, presenting uplifting house and techno sets as well as other genres like soul, R&B and broken beats. With her passion for radio and as an extremely sharp, wide-eyed selector, she is a natural fit for another Refuge Wordwide Party at Panorama Bar. Alongside Heléna Star and the makers of the locally based station, No Plastic and Richard Akingbehin, there will also be the hard-working New York juke producer Kush Jones, Acting Press owner PLO Man and Swiss DJ Sassy J.
