A piece of advice that Love On The Rocks label boss PARAMIDA has given to artists sending her demos over the years: “Imagine it's 1992. You're at a rave on the beach in Goa. It's 8 in the morning. What track is playing? Make that track!“ Back then, all sorts of things were being played in Goa: techno, Italian house, new beat and post-punk, a fusion of different genres that would only later develop into what we now call Goa trance. And this still untamed, unpolished mixture of psychedelic, uplifting, vibrating dance music is the tradition that her label stands for, which can be experienced in the form of several back-to-back sets for tonight's showcase at Panorama Bar. You can also look forward to Andy Butler aka Hercules & Love Affair, whose selections range from proto-house and the golden era of the 90s in New York to Chicago Jack tracks and contemporary house. There will also be a live act at Berghain: Austrian techno producer and sound-design lecturer Arthur Robert will demonstrate his love of Detroit-inspired grooves.
