Finest Friday

Rafael Vogel, also known as Leafar Legov, represents the fragile musical beauty of the Giegling collective like no other. Ten years ago, as one half of Kettenkarussell, he formed the soundtrack of a generation of clubbers who wanted to sink into the club dancefloor rather than explode, offering dreamy house and shimmering ambient surfaces. On his solo album Mirror from 2020, he added subtle beats and romantic melodies to this introspective world of sound – at the interface of deep house, downtempo and IDM à la Boards of Canada. Although the media design graduate from Hanover has not released any further records since then, he regularly plays new material live, including tonight at this edition of Finest Friday at Panorama Bar. His labelmates Edward and Elli will also appear along with Colombian-born, Berlin-based Adi and minimal house mainstay Vera Heindel.
