US American producer Erik Luebs, whose roots in the California beat scene matured over the years in Tokyo’s experimental underground, has made a name for himself with releases on labels such as Nous’klaer Audio. In his live sets, he combines homemade patches and synth-driven euphoria with labyrinthine sequencing. Also performing at Panorama Bar for Klubnacht: Jump Source, the collaboration between Canadian producers Priori and Patrick Holland, who embody the younger generation of the Montreal school. Their work blends micro-house elements and dub techno with smooth, slightly broken rhythms. At Berghain, our old friend Drumcell will be performing. As the founder of the Droid Behavior collective, the Los Angeles-based producer has played a pivotal role in shaping the understanding of West Coast techno since the early 00s. Known for an uncompromising, industrial-tinged sound, Drumcell draws heavily on analog modulation and a minimalist, almost mathematical rigor.
